Reason number one: Statistically, most people who fail their PADI Instructor exam, fail on the written exam section. Diving theory is not taught on the PADI IDC. Left to themselves, candidates often misdirect their efforts when preparing for their scuba instructor course, but I can guide your study so that you will know everything you need to know.
Reason number two is that you’ll want to get the very best value out of your PADI Instructor Development Course.
Your PADI IDC is a course that will prepare you to become a really efficient and effective scuba diving instructor that will have your customers urging you to teach them more courses.
You can't take in all the ideas that you'll hear during
the PADI IDC if you are concerned your level of diving theory knowledge. I promise you, it’s not the place to be learning physics!
Your Distance Learning Preparation Course will prepare you for the Diving Theory and PADI Standards exams that you’ll expect to find on your PADI IDC, and your PADI Instructor Exam It’s a series of exams that we send out to you. The exams are as up to date as you’ll find anywhere, and the topics are the same as you’ll find on the PADI Instructor Exam.
There are 4 Diving Theory exams, each covering all 5 sections.
There are 4 PADI Standards exams. These questions cover all areas of the PADI Instructor Manual, and the PADI Guide to Teaching Manual. We continually update our exams to keep them in line with current needs.
We
will send out the exams to you one by one. As soon as you receive the first exam, you can get started. Probably for the first one, it’s best that you don’t revise at all! The idea is to find out what you know, and what you don’t know. Take your time, and be honest with yourself. Answer as best as you can and return your answers to me. I’ll mark the answers for you, and give you tips on how you can revise on the areas that you missed.
We might point you to our Video
Tips page or we might give you some guidelines in an email. I’ll show you tips and tricks to help make things easier for you. Once you have revised the paper and are happy with where you went wrong, we’ll send out the first of the PADI Standards Exams. I ask you to use a printed version of your PADI Instructor Manual to answer these questions, this way you will get a good idea of the layout. You’ll probably find this first exam tricky, but they will get easier along the way. Again I’ll show you tips and tricks to get you right up to speed so that you can enjoy your PADI IDC with full confidence.
You will find the Distance Learning Course Costs here along with other costs you may incur.

Steve's Tips on Learning Diving Theory |
Let me guide your learning and you will master Diving Theory in no time at all and with the minimum of effort on your part.
PADI IDC candidates who think they don't understand physics at all, often tell me that they feel overwhelmed by the size of the problem and that they really don't know where to start. Others have spent hours and hours, reading about the subjects and are more confused afterwards than when they started. Maybe you fall into one of these categories?
So why can I be such a great help to you? First of all, I know the boundaries that surround the subjects, whereas you are probably thinking that they are limitless and see it as a much bigger problem than it really is.
Secondly, I have had a great deal ofexperience of teaching people who have learning difficulties. Over the years they have taught me how they learn best and these ways I will offer to you.
"If like me, you're crossing over from another agency, then Steve's PADI IDC Prep Course is something I would heartily recommend, as it gives you confidence in what you'll be doing on the PADI IDC without wasting valuable time and brain power."Gareth, Cardiff
"Hoorah! For the first time in my life physics is easy!! Whenever I do a course with Steve and Janet I am surprised how enthusiastic I become. I get re-charged every time! This time was to learn different techniques to understand physics. I would recommend this course to anyone, regardless of current level of qualification. Physics exams hold no fear for me anymore. Thanks Steve." Mel, Essex
