This page lists all of the stuff you need to bring with you to start your PADI IDC. You can bring more than this if you have the space in your bags. I know that you need to be careful with baggage allowance if your PADI IDC is in Sharm el Sheikh Egypt.
PADI Guide to Teaching Manual (with the silver decal) - the Silver Decal is VERY important as you won't be able to take the PADI IE without it!
PADI Instructor Slates for - Open Water Course, both Confined Water and Open Water. Adventures in Diving, Rescue Diver and Discover Scuba Diving.
PADI Final Quizzes and Exams Booklets.
PADI Specialty Instructor Manual Disk (or preferably already loaded on your laptop)

A Medical Form signed by a Doctor within last 12 months stating that you are fit to dive (Just a copy! You keep the original.) Without this you won't be able to have any in-water lessons.
The Instructor Application Form completed on both sides.
Blank copies of these forms are in the IDC Crew Pack.
A photocopy of your core cert cards.

I strongly recommend that you bring a laptop computer with you as it will make life so much easier for you!
(Your laptop should either have Microsoft Office or Powerpoint Viewer installed. Open Office won't work!)
If you haven't already done so, install the 2011 PADI Instructor Manual onto your laptop but also bring a printed copy of the 2011 PADI Instructor Manual.
