There are many important questions that need to be asked about the most important scuba diving course that you will ever take, but you do need to know the costs of your PADI IDC so that there are no nasty surprises along the line.
The most common question that we are asked is:
How much will it cost me to become a PADI Scuba Diving Instructor?
The answer to that question depends on a few factors:
Our PADI IDC in the Red Sea, Egypt with Emperor Divers, Sharm is: €960.
Our PADI IDC in any of the dive centres that we teach at in the UK is: £ 725.
When you have successfully completed your PADI IDC you attend a PADI Instructor's Exam.

All of the PADI materials you'll need during the course are in a PADI IDC Crew Pack and you need to own one for your PADI IDC.
You can buy one from any dive centre. But make sure that you get the very latest version.
If you have any problems, let me know as I can arrange for PADI to deliver one to your home address.
The cost of the two day Instructor Examination is: £380 plus VAT.
Successful completion of the PADI Instructor's Exam means that you are a PADI Scuba Diving Instructor. The PADI Instructor Application Fee for the year 2011 to 2012 is: £106.00 Plus VAT
* PADI fees will are the same regardless of where you take your course. (Fees include VAT, which is payable in Egypt as well as UK for EU candidates).
