PADI Platinum Course Director 2012
I am delighted to report that today I found out that I reached the level of “Platinum Course Director” for 2012. This year only 57 Course Directors in the whole world reached this level. I’m thrilled that I reached this level every year since it started in 2006.
But what does this mean for you? Well it means that if you want to be taught a Divemaster Course, an IDC, a Staff Instructor Course, EFR instructor or Beyond Instructor course, you’ll know that you’ll be getting the very best training that can be found anywhere in the world.
I love my job! and I love training people to be the greatest Instructor that they can be!

PADI IDC Preparation Course at Emperor Divers in Sharm
Although the PADI IDC in Sharm el Sheikh doesn’t officially start until tomorrow, the team building has already begun.
We have spent the past two days removing any last minute doubts about Dive Theory, and had a laugh while practicing the very latest Skills in the pool. Everyone had completed our “Distance Learning” Preparation, so were already very prepared.
They are also now familiar with the Computer software that they will have to use during the PADI IDC and the PADI IE. Of course it will also enhance their teaching in the real world after the IE.
The team are now 100 pct relaxed and ready to begin their transformation into a PADI Instructor. Their lives are about to CHANGE for ever!

Ascension Island to Sharm to become a PADI Instructor
Caroline has travelled all the way from her home in Ascension Island to do her IDC with usin Sharm el Sheikh,Egypt! Caroline is already has a HSE Frist Aid at Work certificate, so it was an easy transition to learn how to teach the EFR course. However she was very impressed with the materials, and very impressed with the Positive Coaching tips that she learnt. She can easily see how she can adapt the very same techniques in the future when she is teaching Scuba. She is now looking forward to the PADI IDC with Emperor Divers

How to be successful as a PADI Instructor
“Can I make money as a Scuba Diving Instructor?” That’s a question that I’m often asked! The answer is easy, Yes you can. You just need to be shown how. Over the years, I’ve worked with many different Scuba Diving Centres, and many different Instructors. I’ve taken the very best techniques from all of them and put them together into one workshop that we call “Beyond Instructor” Contact us for more details.

Learning how to relax on PADI Instructor Exams
As we get ready for our next PADI IDC in Sharm, we have some new materials designed to make candidates even more prepared for their PADI instructors Exam. A long long time ago, we recognised that a lot of people get “Exam Nerves” and sometimes struggled with the Theory exams or Standards exams.
We responded way back then with our “Distance Learning” Preparation course. This gave candidates loads of confidence by making sure that they were fully “Up to Speed” with theory and standards even before the start of their Instructor Development Course.
This solved the problem for the vast majority of people, but we still found that a few people got very nervous on the day of the Exam. We have now developed a brand new set of 4 “Quick Review” Papers that candidates can choose to take during their IDC. Each paper should only take approx 15 mins to take. The reviews are not designed to refresh or revise the content, but are designed to get people used to sitting down and answering test papers. We are hoping that by using these short quizes, candidates will find the Exam a more familair place to be and be able to relax during the process.
The next IDC in Sharm el Sheikh will be the first time that we will try this out! Wish the guys luck!

New Prior Knowledge course, and new materials on the way!!
Janet and I are busy! Jan is writing a new set of exams for our Distance Learning courses.. she has nearly finished the Theory set, just Skills and Environment to go! All of the latest questions designed to help people get ready for their IDC or Divemaster exams.
And me? well I’m very excited! I’ve nearly finished writing our very latest course. It’s called “Beyond Instructor” It’s without doubt the very best course that we will have ever taught! OK, I know that I’m biased! but it’s truly fantastic. I have included all of the brilliant tips and techniques that I have picked up over the last 20 years to help individual instructors be “Better than all the rest” I always thought that a course like this would be good, but seeing all of the ideas together in one lesson plan looks awsome. It’s different from anything thats been seen before. Truly original, and truly proven. It’ll be a lot of fun, and we are planning on integrating it into other courses that we teach. Watch this space.. more soon!!! (I can’t wait!)
