PADI Instructor ReEnergise course

You are truly inspiring and passionate about your work and it has been a privilege to encounter your unique and wonderful teaching style” – Katrina, Sheffield

PADI Instructor update

PADI Instructor updateYour student divers are changing!
Lower attention spans, and lack of focus are common symptoms of today’s lifestyle.
PADI Instructors and Divemasters need to find ways to allow people to learn in fun ways using  individual learning styles.
Classroom, Pool and Open Water sessions need to be tailored for each new learner.
Old fashioned “Dinosaur” methods are way out of date!

The PADI Open Water course changed in summer of 2014. It is designed to produce more confident and independent divers.
However, unless PADI Instructors update their own teaching methods, we’ll see no change in new diver ability.

Instructor ReEnergise – a short video

The PADI Instructor update is over 2 days. Each day will concentrate on a separate area of learning. You can be totally flexible by taking just one of the days, or by taking both

PADI Instructor update – day 1

The first day will concentrate on teaching in the classroom.
We’ll talk about:
+ How to create rapport with your students
+ How to teach each individual using their own learning style
+ How to create confidence in your class
+ How to make sure that you’re covering all modalities (Visual, Auditory and Kinaesthetic)
+ How to use psychology to prepare people to be successful when learning skills
+ How to use psychology and visualisation to help understanding
+ How to be efficient with time and “allow people to learn”
+ How to use the latest PADI digital materials to the best effect

PADI Instructor update – day 2

The second day of the PADI Instructor update will concentrate on teaching motor skills in confined water. We’ll also practice these techniques with a pool session.
This is also the “Power of Words” day!  When you use the techniques outlined, you’ll be amazed at how quickly and how well your students will learn.
We’ll talk about:
+ How to brief and demonstrate skills to the modern diver
+ How to get divers DIVING, and not KNEELING
+ How to “cut the crap” and why this is SO very important!
+ How to allow people to develop using their own personalities
+ How to give students far more practice time without booking extra pool time!
+ How to structure practice sessions for maximum fun and learning
+ How to use psychology to get students to teach themselves
+ How to make “less talk – more action”
+ How to prepare students for Open Water
+ How to create more confident and independent divers
