New PADI Staff Instructors- Congratulations to John, Guy and Phyllis who have qualified as PADI IDC Staff Instructors. Guy found it a great way of refreshing his understanding of the PADI system, having been a PADI Instructor for many years. Phyllis qualified as an OWSI with us in February and has worked a season in Kos to increase her experience. But John must have broken a record as he has achieved this qualification in less than 4 months of becoming a PADI Instructor. Well done all.

Sports Diver Readers Vote for Emperor Divers, Sharm - This month Sports Diver magazine published the results of their annual poll to reveal that their readers have voted for Emperor Divers, Sharm in the Best PADI IDC Centre category. Utila Dive Centre in Honduras were overall winners but Emperor Divers staff were delighted with the result as it means Emperor Divers, Sharm are the Best IDC Centre in the Red Sea, Egypt. John is really excited by the prospect of teaching PADI specialty courses and found Steve's sales and marketing experiences and tips particularly valueable.
On Stage at the South West Dive Show - Steve took to the stage at the South West Dive show this weekend which was organised by Subaquaholics in Bristol, to shed some light on becoming a Dive Professional. There was a good turnout and everyone was enthused after the talk.

New Emergency First Response Instructor - Jack has been a first aid instructor for many years so time was spent discussing the thinking behind the latest changes in first aid. He was also pleased to discover a way of interactively teaching the Emergency First Response course.

Discover Instructor Session at Subaquaholics, Bristol - Dan, Jason, Nali, Robert, Kamila and Ash enjoyed an insight into what it's like to be a Scuba Diving Instructor. During the session, they chatted about what it takes to become an Instructor and everyone experienced being an Instructor by controlling a class whilst teaching a pool skill. Great fun was had by all and some can't wait for the PADI Instructor Development Course being held at Subaquaholics later in the year.

Awarded PADI Platinum Course Director Status Again! - During the current PADI IDC being held at Orca in Essex, Steve receives congratulations from PADI that he has once again attained PADI Platinum Course Director Status for 2010. Steve is naturally modest about his achievement but is proud that he has held this status since it's inception. He is more delighted that 33% of his OWSIs continue their education with him up to PADI IDC Staff Instructor.
